Spectacles - Frames & Lenses
After your eye examination our qualified dispensers are on hand to give you expert advice on the most suitable frames and lenses for your individual requirements. As we use a local prescription house we are often able to offer a next day service. Outside prescriptions are always welcome.
Because R.M. Ling is an independent practice we are not tied to a particular supplier. This gives us free range to recommend the lenses and frames that we feel would best suit your individual requirements.
Lenses
We can advise you on the very latest in spectacle lens technology, such as thinner and lighter lenses in a range of materials, and the most up to date varifocal designs. We are an accredited Varilux Specialist Optician. Most lenses can be made of a Transitions material, which darkens with the light. Scratch-resistant anti-reflection coatings can be added to improve the appearance and durability, the durability, and to reduce night-driving dazzle from on coming headlights.
Frames You can select from over 1000 frames, chosen to suit every budget and taste. Our emphasis is always on value for money with style. We have everything from reasonably priced budget frames right through to the latest designer names such as Burberry, Joop, Gucci, Fysh, Urban, Elle, and Gloria Vanderbilt. We also stock a range of Flexon titanium frames and a selection of rimless styles. In addition to your regular spectacles, we are happy to advise you on appliances to meet specific needs, such as prescription sun glasses, or for sporting uses like prescription swimming goggles, diving masks and squash protectors.
